Participation:

• Everyone between 16 and 30 years old
• Couples and Singles welcome
• No dancing experience required
• Maximum 20 couples per ball
• If your participation this year is not possible, you will be automatically added to the waiting list for next year
• After registration, your participation to the ball and all three rehearsal dates is mandatory
• Who wants to participate in 2027 - We'd love to put you on our waiting list ! Just email us at debuetanten@gawc-munich.de !
• The planning for 2027 will only start in September 2026. Until then, an email is enough for the waiting list. As soon as we have a date for the Magnolia Ball in the fall, we will contact you, and then you can decide again, if you want to participate or not, in case the date doesn't work for you. Only then will we need your registration.

Costs:

• Dresses and suits must be purchased
• Debutants receive their ball tickets for a reduced price of 35€
• Tickets for family and friends can be purchased via the normal ticket sales: see GAWC website Magnolia Ball from approximately November

Dress code:

• Ladies:
  • white, floor-length ball gown
  • no protruding or hooped skirts, no train
  • no customization or tailor work required
  • price typically from about 200€
• Gentlemen:
  • black suit
• Other:
  • Tiara, gloves for the ladies, bow ties and pocket squares for the gents can be provided, if desired
  • Under certain circumstances, help can be provided with the dresses

Dates:

• The rehearsals will take place the last 3 Sundays before the ball. Duration: approximately 3 hours.
• Sequence of the rehearsals:
  • First meeting: Online Call to discuss the flow of activities and any open questions
  • Date 1: Getting to know each other and decision of the couples
  • Date 2: Offer of help with the outfit (if desired)
  • Date 3: Information about the timeline for the ball

  • Dance school Ritmo, Peter-Anders-Str. 13, 81245 München
  • Dance teacher: Peter Simon
• The dress rehearsal will take place on the afternoon before the ball in the hotel Bayerischer Hof

• We are not accepting any further applications for 2026 at this point. Please contact us for the waiting list for 2027.
